    Frances Folsom Cleveland

    Frances Clara Folsom Cleveland Preston (July 21, 1864 - October 29, 1947), was the wife of Grover Cleveland, the President of the United States.

    Her birthplace is Buffalo, New York. Her parents were Emma C. Harmon and Oscar Folsom. Her father, Oscar later became a law partner of Grover Cleveland.

    She was by her husband’s side when he died in 1908. In 1913, she again married. Her second husband was Thomas J. Preston, Jr., a professor of archeology. When the-then President and his wife Sarah Childress Polk visited Princeton, New Jersey, they met and welcomed Frances Folsom her husband.
