More than half a century ago the home of storied thinkers issued a postage stamp commemorating one of them. Blocks of squares surround a figure about which he rightly stated a relationship. Can you show us a picture of the stamp and tell us what the words on it say?

    TabbyTom

There's a Greek stamp on this webpage that fits your description. The Greek words at the top can be transliterated as "Pythagoreion Theorema", i.e. "the Pythagorean theorem."

The very one, Tabby Tom! What an attractive stamp!
(The second one on the page--you have to scroll down just a little.)

The bottom says "Ellas Drx 3.50" showing it's from Greece and worth three and a half drachmas.
