    		Some claim that Georgia is in both Europe and Asia, but I think it is more correct (as the UN says) to say that Georgia is in Western Asia.

    		Well Wiki says that Georgia seeks entry into the European Union. But as you said it is on the border.

    		Turkey also seeks entry - and the vast majority of Turkey is in Asia, and well to the west of Georgia at that. I think Georgia has quite a way to go yet stability- and economy-wise before an application would be considered seriously.
