Now, thanks, but I really wanted the name of the two or three largest cities after Rome.

The question is not really precise.
One, I wanted to ask about the Western Roman Empire - in the Eastern Roman Empire Constantinople was the major city, not Rome.
Two, I didn't ask for an exact year: Surely the population changed through the years. In year 100 AD, this site suggests that Alexandria, Antioch, Carthage and Smyrna were the largest cities after Rome, but I don't know if that's correct.

The largest of them all, after Rome (according to the previous reference) was Seleucia, or Seleucia on the Tigris, which supposedly had 250,000 inhabitants in 100 AD.
