Who arranged Gershwin's Concerto in F for solo piano?

    Question #95762. Asked by Cem1942. (May 17 08 2:22 PM)

    exceller

From this article, it appears that Gershwin was the first to arrange and perform the solo piano version himself.

You didn't answer the question. The concerto was completed with orchestration and recorded many times. But, who arranged the complete concerto for solo piano, transcribing the orchestral plus the piano part? It isn't played frecuently, because of course, it is awfully difficult.

Maybe not the first, but Matt Herskowitz has arranged it for solo piano

I've actually heard a recording of a pianola arrangement, played by Gershwin, of the Concerto (as well as other pieces he wrote).
