    Per square mile what is the most populated island in the world?

    		According to about.com/geography, the island of Java in Indonesia is the most densely populated island in the world with 2100 people per sq mile/810 people per sq km. Population 107 million.

    I also found this on http://www.worldislandinfo.com/SUPERLATIVESV2.html
    This says that Ap Lei Chau (SW Of Hong Kong) has a pop density of 160000 per sq mi/60,000 per sq km. Singapore is the most densely populated island COUNTRY.

    Historically, though, the Japanese island of Hashima outside Nagasaka was even more densely populated.
