    What was the original name of Rodin's "The Thinker"?

    		According to The Statue Store it was originally called "The Poet."

    		Originally, it was a small figure near the top of "The Gates of Hell". Rodin later cast it separately. The French name is "La Penseur", which has been translated as both "The Poet" and as "The Thinker".
