    Pluto was discovered in 1930.

    The centre of the Milky Way was first discovered by the new science of radar astronomy in the 1930s.
    The possibility of neutron stars was postulated in the 1930s but one was not see until the 1960s.
    Those and Pluto are among the well-known discoveries by astronomers in the 1930s but lots of things will have been disvovered in the course of a whole decade.
