    		"Godey's Ladies Book," founded by Louis Antoine Godey (1804-1878). The magazine, first published in the United States in 1830, focused on women's fashions and style. Sarah Hale was the editor. Longfellow, Emerson, Poe and Hawthorne wrote for it.
