    My grandmother had a ring she said was a "Greek slave ring" shaped in such a way that on her finger it formed a chevron. Can anybody tell me about what Greek slaves would have worn in the way of rings?

    		I gather from this that Greek slaves wearing jewelry would be a rare thing:
