    Where is the furthest up the Amazon River that an ocean vessel can reach?

    		Transatlantic ships regularly reach Manaus over 1000miles upstream and smaller ocean going vessels reach Iquitos in Peru which is 2300miles from the mouth of the river.
    It is regarded as navigable for oceanic vessels over approximately 2/3 of it's 4000miles length
