Although six fathers-and-sons, and two married couples, have won Nobel Prizes, to date only two siblings have done so. They are Jan and Nikolaas Tinbergen of the Netherlands. Jan won the first award in economics in 1969 while Nikolaas won the medicine prize in 1973.
