There has never been a Pope John XX, because the 20th pope of this name, formerly Petrus Hispanus, decided to skip the number XX and to be counted as John XXI instead. He wanted to correct what in his time was believed to be an error in the counting of his predecessors John XV through XIX.
That must be somewhere around the record for answering with a reference.... Quite right - he hasn't died because he never lived in the first place. The early popes are fascinating to look into - they make some of the secular monarchies look quite tame at times.

It took me quite a while to find the right questions for this quiz, as they are meant to cover the topics from my previous 19 quizzes. Have fun and I bet you won't be disappointed!
As a follow up to my quiz on folks who died before 21 I thought it would be interesting to investigate a bit to find out who had left us before the age of 30...still very young! I hope this quiz is instructive...enjoy.
The world has lost many great and talented people who never made it to their 40th birthdays. This quiz pays homage to some of those who perished while still in their prime.
