As a 12 year old, Annette played the part of the Swan Queen in the production of Swan Lake at a dance recital in Burbank, California. Walt was in the audience.
I remember listening to Annette explain her story to an interviewer on a television show a few years ago. I had a major crush on her when I was a ten year old watching the MMC on tv while wearing my Davy Crocket coon skin cap.
This is the least remembered and least recognized period for Disney. Post-Walt and Pre-Michael Eisner. But though nothing from this decade amounted to "Citizen Kane", many of the films were quite charming.
