Pakistani fast bowler Sohail Tanvir (of Rajasthan Royals) scalped 22 wickets, the highest in the inaugural IPL tournament, to become the proud owner of the purple cap.

Orange went to Shaun Marsh -- He was bought for $30,000 by Kings XI Punjab only nine days before the event started, but Marsh repaid them with 616 runs at an average of 68, better than anyone who played more than five matches.
