What is the world's oldest known recorded recipe?

Question #97880. Asked by BaronBatty. (Jul 24 08 3:50 AM)

The recipe for the incense at the Tabernacle is recorded in Chapter 30 of Exodus. It called for various types of spices in various amounts, as well as specific people to follow its instructions. The recipe is discussed further in the Mishnah, explaining the specifics further in the setting of the altar in the Temple in Jerusalem. Genesis 18:6 has Abraham give his wife instructions for the making of cakes, but unless that could be considered an actual recipe for cake, the earilest recipe for anything that I am aware of is the incense recipe in Exodus.

Most recipes were passed on by word of mouth, notations were made by the Romans onward. Apparantly the oldest British recipe dates back to 6000BC!

When was the first recorded history of a recipe for S'mores?

I'm looking for the name of a TV mini series movie/show. We had rented them from the video store. It's about a boy who is traveling to different worlds looking for pieces of a machine to get him back home (I think.) He is gathering something along his way. He travels to different worlds with a "professor" and maybe another person. Along the way he visits 5-8 different worlds (each was a different movie.) They were all entitled "Somebody and the Land of ???" One world had to do with giant eggs, one world a town of toys, and the end was a land something like a fantasy "Camelot." My children watched these movies anywhere from 1988 - 1993. I'm hoping someone can help me end my frazzled search.
