Norwegian 1000 kroner features painter Edvard Munch.
Sweden 20 kroner features writer (and Nobel Prize winner) Selma Lagerlöf.
Israel 50 new shekel features writer (and Nobel Prize winner) Shmuel Yosef Agnon.
I'm not sure what is 'common' here, though. It would be easier if all 3 were Nobel Prize winning writers.
author, have a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_on_banknotes
this Wikipedia page mistakingly cites Edvard Munch as a Literture Nobel laureate and i was hoping if someone will get here in their search for an answer since i am too lazy to fix all these Wikierrors. Maybe, i was too experimental here - sorry!

What color are the Norwegian and Swedish bills mentioned? Israel's 50 shekel bill is purple (or was, last I checked).
