On what date did the BBC stop broadcasting due to World War II?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but BBC Television went off the air on September 1, 1939 because of the war, and did not resume until June 7, 1946. Various BBC Radio sites were bombed during the war, but the BBC's history site does not mention going off the air because of them.
