    		A number of different causative conditions for Atlantic hurricanes exist.
    *Easterly Waves
    *Mesoscale Convective Complexes (MCC's) (these are the Cape Verde-type, producing the longest-lasting and most destructive hurricanes)
    *The base of an old frontal trough extending into the tropics
    *Non-tropical upper-level lows that move into the tropics and become cut off
    *Strong midlatitude cyclone which develops a warm core
