    Why did Swedish King Gustavus Adolphus intervene in the Thirty Years' War?

    		To protect his small country against Ferdinand, the king of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor during the Thirty Years' War. The reason he needed to protect his country is because Sweden didn't want Ferdinand to make their country Catholic.

    		Yes, and the king and emperor was Ferdinand II.
