A dreadnought was the main type of battleship of the 20th. century. It takes its name from HMS Dreadnought, built in 1906, which was the first to be designed with "all big guns" and steam turbines. The oldest surviving dreadnought in the world is USS Texas, which was launched in 1912.

Dreadnought was a brand of Burlington (bell type) action toilet cistern. (The chain raised a cast iron bell, and the release of the chain let it drop, pushing water into the downpipe and starting the syphon action. OK till grit got under the bell, and the darn thing wouldn't stop...) Source: Baloo's outhouse up till a few years ago, when the cast iron tank split. Probably not listed on the web.
