Can anyone identify a cartoon character for me? I have the image in mind of a short, old guy with a gigantic hat, a bristle moustache, short stature. I thought he was one of Li'l Abner's characters or one of Popeye's characters, but a search of both websites nixed that idea. The image I have says "Maw's Problem." He seems to be associated with moonshine in some manner.

I think it may be Yosemite Sam who had a few hare raising adventures with Bugs Bunny!

    Snuffy Smith.

Snuffy is a very stereotypical hillbilly. He lives in a shack, makes moonshine, is in constant trouble with the sheriff, and is very shiftless, occasionally doing a small amount of farm work but primarily working his still and loafing.
