Four Presidents of the U.S.A. have been assisinated. Abe Lincoln in 1865, James Garfield in 1881, William Mckinley in 1901 and John Kennedy in 1963. Although Garfield and McKinley were in fact unintentionally killed by their Docters after they were shot.

Of course, there are others countries other than the U.S.A. who have had presidents assassinated. A few spring to mind: Egypt (Sadat), Chile (Allende), Congo (Lumumba), France (Doumer), Viet Nam (Ngo Dinh Diem), Bangladesh (Mujibur Rahman & Ziaur Rahman), Park Chung Hee (South Korea), Lebanon (Moawad), Nicaragua (Somoza), and so the list goes on.
