Dear Treasure Serpent, I want the treasure. My magic number is 3397452 as told to me by the witch. Not much time on FT today because husband had doctor's appointment and other errands had to be run. But on the good side, my history quiz "Ur" went online this morning. It's still in the new quizzes if anyone wants to play it. It has a sister quiz in the World category called "Ur Illustrated" - my first photo quiz. The latest thing on my learning curve is using a split screen to do research. You're supposed to be able to do that on Obscurity quizzes, but so far it's just slowing me down. I HATE it. No danger of my cheating on quizzes where you aren't supposed to research.

Three years ago today, our dog Daisy came into our home and into our lives. The janitor at my mom's workplace was selling Daisy for $230 (she was a two month old puppy back then). That afternoon, we went over to the house the man was selling Daisy and she was picked out of four or five puppies in her litter and we took her home. It did take her a while to get completely situated as she spent the next few days not eating anything and doing a lot of sleeping. Before long, she got used to and accustomed to us and all I can say that the $230 was worth it. With that being said, May 23, 2010 will always be the day we got dear old Daisy. Daisy, we love you.

Well truth be told I haven't been here much. The Sun is shinning and calling my name. Winter is finally over and the coats have been packed up and put away. the flowers are in bloom and the first baby robins have flown the nest and the Corvette is out of storage. Need I say more

Like many kids, I had a remarkable uncle. Remarkable because in the late 1940's he made an outrageous amount of money selling an industrial commodity. So much money that he could afford to drive a new top-of-the-line Lincoln every year; so outrageous that he wore $200 tailor made suits when working men were making $1 an hour. Especially remarkable because he knew virtually nothing about the product he was selling. He took clients to lunch, dinner, horse races, baseball or hockey games, the theatre, ballet or opera, or out for a round of golf. Any questions about product --specs, pricing, delivery--he deftly deflected to his inside sales support staff. There might be a lesson in this for the current crop of earnest, highly-trained, sales engineers.
