When I first heard Desmond Dekker and the Aces sing the Isrealite I thought he was singing Oh Oh me ears are alight. It was only after quite a few times listening to it that I realised it was Poor me, The Isrealite.

Which lyrics have you mistakenly heard? And please do not just post a list pulled from the Web. I want to know your own.

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

strudi74 Until I read this thread today I still thought Juice Newton was singing "Just touch my teeth before you leave me".
No wonder my wife looks at me funny when I try sticking my finger in her mouth when we say goodbye, I thought it was romantic....

Darius Rucker's new single "Wagon Wheel Sings what I thought was "Heyyyyy paparazzi." It is actually "Hey Mama rock me."

Possum44 Thanks for this thread, I was busting up at some of these. Some of my misheard lyrics:
Spiderwebs by No Doubt, I heard: "A man named Luke called..."
Actual lyrics: "No matter who calls...."

Ironic by Alanis M. I heard: "A lone man, turned on the eight"
Actual lyrics: "An old man turned 98"
