What small and stupid thing has recently gotten your goat?

Mine would be spell checks that never give you the right suggestion for what you want even though you only barely misspelled something.

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

BX, I agree with that one and IF it has already been mentioned (I didn't see it), I will agree twice even three times! I have stated that in a couple replys to new threads recently and so have others. Grrrr...

Bx - sometimes when I create a thread, I do not always put my opinion/thoughts first.

This can be due to my being unable, at that moment, to express what I feel/believe/think about the subject matter. Often, I am attempting to give posters just the facts without putting my "spin" on the subject. This is usually when I am more interested in what the "masses" think than what I think.

However, I do not usually participate in a "this or that" type of chat. I find they are too restrictive.

One item which annoys me is when we are with hearing challenged friends and people will speak to them by yelling and/or speaking very slowly. Yelling and speaking slowly does not help with lip reading and, frankly, is just...well, rude.

Talented - Most of the threads I see started from you, are more along the lines of "Whats in the News" with the information taken from articles.

More along the lines of being informative then asking for peoples opinions.

bananaphobia MY friends cat. Laying on my homework could get really annoying when you are sick and tired of having cat drool all over your papers.

Bx - very astute. I like to know what is going on, that is for sure.

Mo, I have to agree with BX. I wasn't thinking at all about the things YOU post when I said that either. It's more the "So how about xxxx?"

Ooops. I did not think the posts made by Bx and yourself were directed toward me. Not one little bit. Sorry if I misled you. It has been a hectic day.

I just wanted to join in the conversation and give examples...if you get my drift.

If you go shopping and use a shopping cart to get your goodies to your vehicle, please put the cart in a cart holding area or return it to the door. No one like a cart rammed in the side of the cart, and the cart could be taking up a parking space, so please put your cart back.

Doing Impossible with three minutes to go, submitting, and seeing:
"There is no record of you having even started this quiz! Perhaps this tournament just came to an end. Please go back, reload, and try again."
So you go back, reload, and there are two minutes left. Sob.

Same exact issue I had today, though I had 4 minutes when I started.

But on the bright side, that is the first time I've had issue with the GC.

I don't know if it's been posted yet, but what does "loaded teamwinners" mean? I see it sometimes on the upper right of my screen.

I'm sorry. I meant to say upper left corner.

ladylmk58 People who throw their lit cigarette butts out the window of their cars. Or even their extinguished butts.

I am a smoker, but I agree.Butts are not biodegradable and don't do much for the scenery either..I learned my lesson once throwing out a lit butt.I was in my work truck with a load of merchandise in the back. The cigarette landed in the back and everything went up in flames.

Buddy1 I really hate it when someone uses "it's" instead of "its" or when somebody says "me and my friend" instead of "my friend and I". Also, when people are telling a story when they use the voice of the person saying it rather than their own voice.
Example: A young kid had thought the Titanic sank in Branson, since there is a display at Branson. When my mother told me the story, she used the voice of the young kid who said it instead of her own voice.
My sister has also been known to tell stories using the voices of other people instead of her own voice.

Really hate anything to do with petty officialdom - give some a uniform and a title/clipboard and the rest is history...

I really hate when the phone rings when you are in the middle of a hourly game and it's in the other room. I usually just let it ring but it distracts me and I usually wind up doing poorly for that quiz.

Airports. Smug, bossy, preening and unpleasant 'security' staff who have all the training in security and good manners that can be inculcated into the brain dead.
Diddymush sized police persons with silly wobbling hats, pipe stem arms and cute paunches, that try to look as 'tho are weely weely tough (what ever happened to those giant coppers that kept order on the streets?).

s-m-w Being charged excess baggage charges on flights, and then finding someone twice my weight and the weight of my baggage squeezed into the seat next to me! If a person fills two seats they should pay double !

People who send on spoof emails, albeit in all good faith. Hint: if you get an email about Progesterex, google first and see what happens. I'm always suspcious about things, but these frighten people unnecessarily.

Chain emails in general.
