Topic: How did your day go my dear?

Subject: How did your day go my dear?

Gentle but enlightening thread letting everyone know how your day was and how you are..

(As this seems to be a topic which many have enjoyed it would be a shame to lose it due to a technical glitch!)

Enjoy...

struggled to get up as knee was causing me great pain, have been to town to get a parcel the postman said he could not deliver yesterday and as i was home i find that hard to swallow so kicked off big time.

The guy looked on the system and said thats odd he booked the parcel in saturday not yesterday, so asked again how that could happen as i was in saturday. Manager apologised and the postman is to be reprimanded. Would not have complained but have a notice on my door saying any parcels leave at a neighbours or with the caretakers.

Got home opened parcel to find i got a discount on the item of £2 so was a nice surprise.

Gary, I'm not sure that £2 makes up for the stupidity and laziness of the postman, but it's still nice.

My car lives for another year. It needs front pads and "a bit" of welding (exactly how much they don't know yet) but I am assured that it won't be the small fortune I spent on it a year ago. I've never bought a car by myself - I inherited this one - but there's a first time for everything. Perhaps next year. I can't wait. :-(

Lesley, my excuse for not washing my car is that it's held together by rust and I don't want it to fall to pieces.

Sally, I've heard of car-washing, but never managed to work out what it looks like. I give it the occasional wipe-down with a microfibre cloth to get the snails and dead insects off, and pull stray vegetation off the windscreen wipers, but I've heard people whispering in corners about bubbles and wax - what's all that about?

Not so sure about day, but last two days and nights! Finally my sweet daughter in law has given birth to our latest grandchild after a long and tricky labour. Evie arrived just before midnight at 7lb 8 oz. Thankfully both mother and daughter are both ok.
Everything else pales into insignificance as was beginning to worry. Thank you to the staff of the Rosie hospital at Addenbrookes. Can't wait to see new baby as first girl in the family for 14 years.... yippee, girl clothes!
Sunny morning, and just about to go to work ... Keep your chin up Gary, and hope everyone on here has a super week-end.

I'm only here thanks to a heart donor. Now, having accepted someone else's aortic valve, I can't pass the compliment on, but my son says he will keep it going by donating blood for two of us. :)

Looked in the bathroom mirror, alarmed to see a fat brown worm curled op on my earlobe. How on earth did that get there? Look again - it's a squirt of hair dye. *blush* There are brown dots on my shoulder and in my cleavage too. Still, it's better than spattering the bathroom, which I have been known to do. Some days are more exciting than others.

Despite having a flu shot and a pneumonia shot last month, I have been coughing my head off for two weeks. I feel terrible. My left foot is sore too. I can't put any weight on it. My husband did a beutiful job of cooking Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. To top everything off, my computer has been refusing to connect with my ISP and I have missed several of my globals and dropped out of the top 100 players.
