Gee, I was going to post on my bad day but after reading about your bad day I feel better now!
Let's just say I was away from the office for three days, at a conference. Open my emails this morning, up to my butt in alligators. By 10am on my coffee break I was browsing workopolis. Then, 5min before 4pm, I get something dumped on my desk that somebody else had sat on all day. "You need to deal with this NOW!" Fortunately I was able to "devolve" to somebody even more powerless than me. I do feel mildly guilty, but them's the breaks! TGIF!
PS: I actually printed a job ad off workopolis - I was that sick of my job.

Does that sound like 'Gout' honeybee? Whatever it is, PLEASE go back to the doctor. The flu shot doesn't always keep it at bay!

Cold, foggy and miserable day. Wrapped up some Christmas presents and was in a generally grumpy mood.
Let's hope it disipates today, but doubt it - got to go to work and be nice to people.... grrrrr

I went to a Christmas quiz night last night. I went to the same one last year, they asked the same sloppy question last year, and our table got it wrong again! Must remember the correct answer for next year.
How many reindeer pull Santa's sleigh?

Well, here we go with the "short post" warning, again! So anyway, there are nine (9) reindeer.

Not according to our quiz!
Traditionally, there are eight, Rudolph was a later addition, making nine. However, the question was worded exactly as I said above so there was no clue as to whether they wanted Rudolph in there or not.
We tried to cover all bases by saying eight plus Rudolph, but they'd only accept eight. We won the quiz anyway, another grotty bottle of wine to add to my collection.
Five years on this site has made me very sensitive to ambiguous questions.

Well I had to survive a double assault on my digestive system, Friday got food poisoning from chips (fries) cooked in fat older than I am at a soon to be closed down cafe. Then last night my demented (clinically) and slightly short sighted Nan put salt in my late night cup of Darjeeling instead of sugar, which produced a spectacularly fast and violent regurgitation. Being as these things always happen in threes today will consist of a diet of dry bread and mineral water, let's not tempt fate.

The antibiotic shot and pills have kicked in and my cough is better. My foot is better, and hopefully my computer continues to connect me to my ISP.

Lucky you to be able to get MRI scans from the health authority - usually such a long waiting list. Hope they find cause or reason and that you can get the treatment you need too.
Cold frosty day - first day of a week's holiday for both of us - first Saturday and Sunday off since June which will be a treat.
Cat had a seizure last night which was really scary - left him blinded and confused for about an hour and then he gradually recovered... no idea why and watching him carefully. Poor lad has had such a chequered history before being rescued - guess something is not quite right neurologically. Seems perfectly recovered today.

Just cold here, no seasonal frost yet. I do hope your mog is OK Sherry, is he very old? Such a worry. Enjoy your week off.
I've a short night tonight (finishing at 1.30 a.m. after using some time off in lieu). Our lovely manager has been arguing with staffing about our Christmas leave for months and we've just found out that we all got what we asked for, so I have the Saturday and Sunday after Christmas off. As I don't work on Thursdays or Fridays I don't have to worry about working Christmas Day or Boxing Day. Haven't had so much time off over Christmas for ages.

Sherry expect at least a 3 month wait before my mri scan 2, as i said had a fall at weekend because of the problem and knee has entered the problem but whilst i can breathe of sorts and can come here to play quizzes and discuss with good friends like you Bee and the others i will be ok.
Hope the cat is ok is a shame when pets are poorly.

Had a go at two healthy fully fir Drivers who parked in slots cleary marked and designated Blue badge holders only got a load of verbals off a lad 24 ish, and woman about same age group pulled in where he was so as i had my digital camera with me took a photo of her parking and then running to a shop, as she was coming back made out i was talking to police and she offered me £100 to delete photo, said no sorry police want it for evidence, she broke down in tears told her that wont work. suggested she went home or where ever she was going and to wait for the police to arrive. She did promise never to park in a disabled spot again. have kept photo on camera will see if shes keeps her word.

Blimey Gary, I would have taken the £100, but then I am weak and shallow. Surely she will get a smaller fine? Wish we could take photographs of all of those damn mobile phone using drivers - there seem to be more than ever these days. Even saw a lorry driver watching a tv on the A14 the other evening. Seems that the new fine and 3 points doesnt seem to have deterred anyone - confiscate phone and car or take them off the road for a statutory month, may work. Off rant!
