Topic: How did your day go my dear?

Subject: How did your day go my dear?

Gentle but enlightening thread letting everyone know how your day was and how you are..

(As this seems to be a topic which many have enjoyed it would be a shame to lose it due to a technical glitch!)

Enjoy...

Had my mri scan this time was worse then the last one as i had to go in head first, and halfway through had something injected into my hand to highlight veins they said.

Whilst MRI scanners are a good thing i hope i dont see one for a long time now, was so contriscted being inside it when all they needed to scanwas my lumbar region.

Now the long wait for results. So poneke hop on a plane and come cheer me up.

s-m-w Yesterday was super, went to the local wine bar and tried a few bin ends and enjoyed a well hung Shropshire steak to equalise the possible side affects.

Sorry to hear about your continuing health problems Proff. Hang in there mate.

Today, back to work, nice relaxed atmosphere, now just need to make a big push into the working weekend.

Bee had her nails done today which always leaves her chilled and returned home to a wonderful Lamb roast. Yuuuuuuuummmmmy.

poneke Nice one smw! Proving you really are a metro -> even here on FT you're in touch with your feminine side and aren't afraid to be Sherry:-) But honestly, it's nice to know couples here as well as my team-mates and other crazy insomniacs, lol;and only speaking for myself really, duh!

Lovely lazy day today. My first 'proper' one this year:-).
Blobbed in pj's, ate chocolate[Hobbit-syle = 2nd breakfast etc;-)]avoided piles of paper and cat-napped inbetween the sugar rushes. Looking forward to the next one at Easter:-)

Very blessed day. Received letters from the Alaskan children that we sent crocheted hats to for Christmas.
They were such precious letters of thanks. Several told of
giving their warm hats to siblings or one gave to his Grand Mother. I intend to send more soon. It is very cold there now.

Been to Birmingham shopping - hadn't realised how much I missed big city shopping: Harvey Nicks and Selfridges were a revelation. Lunch at Pizza Express and spoiled my darling OH with some classy shirts and ties for his birthday.

Foggy frosty start - blue skies in Brum - still foggy and frosty when we arrived back home. Shropshire has to be one of the wettest, foggiest, coldest, counties in this part of the world.

A beautiful day so far. The snow is melting and the sun is out in full force.

A day to treasure.

One of "those" days today - we're in the process of applying for a primary (KG) place for no3 son, and want him to go to the school he is currently at the nursery for.
It's a church school, so the regular 'catchment area' thing doesn't apply in the same way as it does with state schools.
Anyway we got a form from the nursery, with his details all pre-filled, and the option to file the application online. I did it online and thought all would be well.
Anyway today (with just a week to go until the deadline) I get a reminder letter, again via the nursery, asking why we haven't applied for a place and pointing out that we live in the area for 'school X'
School X is almost 2 and a half miles away from our house and there are two state schools closer to us, plus I already applied online for the church school place...
So I rang them to enquire and they said "what online applications?" ARGH!
The department that sends the letters and set up the website didn't TELL the admissions team people how to get the info and correlate it (or so they said...) so they haven't actually processed any online applications.
I am past being surprised at anything 'they' do anymore.

Did my weekly shop at asda and am getting increasingly frustrated at price rises on food, you'd think as we are in a recesion they'd drop prices to encourage spending. Instead of increasing them.

Agree Prof: can someone please tell me why tinned tomatoes have risen from 19p. a tin to 33p. or more. Local Co-op charged 64p. the other day!

Big wow in Asda - 2 tins for £1.... is there a world tomato shortage!
