Topic: How did your day go my dear?

Posted by: s-m-w

Subject: How did your day go my dear?
Date: Aug 21 08

Gentle but enlightening thread letting everyone know how your day was and how you are..

(As this seems to be a topic which many have enjoyed it would be a shame to lose it due to a technical glitch!)

Enjoy...

s-m-w Wonderful day, end of hols and a sunny day in England. Meal with a beautiful lady, looking forward to a move and new place to live. Why complain, just get on with what you are given...or change things yourself !

Lovely day, zooming round Bedford, having lunch with a friend, and visiting a shop I hadn't seen before, taking her surplus plates to a charity shop, and buying local honey.

There were half a dozen jars and there won't be any more for two months. A tick is killing off our bees, and they're not showing any sign of resistance yet. The beekeeper has 13 hives but is currently using only one of them.

Straight out again to zoom round Bedford a bit more, drop some egg-boxes off to a friend who keeps chickens, and some other things to other friends, but the drop-off turned into a two-hour chat with lots of cups of tea and some freshly-baked bread: ending up in the supermarket, spending lots of time and lots of money.

Result: I've seen lots of people, bought lots of things, and have hardly been home all day. Lovely.

Thank you Gary - you definitely do.

A different friend today for another lunch out, another pub, much more food than yesterday's - the price of a meal included all the salad you can eat - but I wonder: is it better to have an adequate amount of fresh, delicious food, and leave feeling comfortably well-fed; or is it better to pile your salad bowl high, eat as much as you can because you've paid for it, and because it's there, then stagger out before you explode?

The Electricians have gone for the day, only a few things left for them to do tomorrow and they finish at 2 so will be out of my hair the messy work finally over with, :) mind some plastering needs doing. Tuesday i think the kitchen fitters start. Still waiting to see if i will get compensated for my Computer power supply being blown by incompetant electircian or if i need to go to a solicitor.

Just cooking my tea meatballs in a tomato and pesto sauce with fussli pasta .

That's a relief. The potential for damage by electricians probably outweighs all the other tradesmen's.

Food sounds delicious. Enjoy!

Electricians are now out of my hair having fitted the new fuse box and connecting the wires to it, I unplugged everything so to avoid problems and when i was told it was ok plugged all things in and bingo all working well. Computer started first time no problems and i have even lost the feedback i used to have from them.

Now three lovely days to chill and relax before phase two, just about to sit and eat my Quiche for tea before ringing a dear friend.

Hope you all have a good weekend

Kind of sad and disappointed. Our miniature pony had a baby but it was stillborn.

veronikkamarrz So sorry to hear that, Honeybee. Was there no indication throughout the pregnancy?

We knew she was pregnant but we didn't know for sure when she was due. We had her running with the other ponies including the stud until yesterday. We should have separated them much sooner.

I'm sorry to hear that too Honeybee.

A good day here, I reached the bottom of my ironing basket, only to have my daughter clean her bedroom and fill the linen basket again...grr..teenagers lol

Paid for my new suite in full...it arrives next tuesday, am all giddy after waiting 3 months for it to be made!

Had a lovely dinner and coffee with a friend.

kelljo lesley153 Thanx for asking how things are going. Were back in St. Louis just arrived this evening his sodium had dropped to 118 and they can't do the transplant if it's below 121. At least we were home for a little over a week. But now back to sleeping in the not so comfy chair. I'll try to keep posting. I should have plenty of time on my hands. Thanx again for asking. Nice day chilling out feel relaxed, have spoken with couple people who work in the electrical industry who confirm that they should turned my electric off before removing and replacing the fuses , so company is responsible for the damage to my pc.

Kelljo, at least you can come on here and rant, if it helps. We're good at listening to ranting. I do hope it's not long though before everything comes together and your man can be repaired.

Gary, I'm pleased to hear that you now have the information and ammunition you need to get recompense from thoughtless incompetents. How lovely to see that you have been chilled and relaxed! ((((()))))

kelljo Still in St.Louis at hospital not really any news to report. Still haven't got that liver just sitting here waiting and waiting and well you know. Oh and playing fun trivia at least that keeps me entertained. If anything should happen I'll report back. Goodbye all and keep J.R. in your prayers.
