Topic: How did your day go my dear?

Subject: How did your day go my dear?

Gentle but enlightening thread letting everyone know how your day was and how you are..

(As this seems to be a topic which many have enjoyed it would be a shame to lose it due to a technical glitch!)

Enjoy...

Kelljo has to be hard for you hope all goes ok.

Here we are the workers are due back today cannot wait see what damage they do this week, Sadly as is the policy of all councils to put out for tender and take cheapest quote, we get doing the work what they pay for.

Another legacy of the Thatcher years i feel is hard to believe it was 20 years ago yesterday she became pm, seems like only yesterday.

Kelljo, you are both in my thoughts and prayers x

Well today has been like a Monday. New suite was supposed to be delivered. The window was taken out for the suite to get in to the house....and the delivery truck had broken down! Window back in and now rearranged for Thursday afternoon. C'est la vie. They have paid for my window man this morning.....am still smiling and happy though. We bought a Wii fit yesterday, so when my daughter gets home from school, I'll be skiiing lol

Had words today with the company responsible for the problems i have had with the work and damage to my pc, they were trying to Squirm out of it until i said i was contacting the national press on the subject, from being slightly bullish, until i said i had been in touch with the national press and the guy who was doing the speaking said we do not want to go down that road, so said well if needs must i will. He said he'd be back to me and i would be happy if i got reinbursed for my computer repair and that would also settle the chip in fridge door i said it would he is getting back to me.

Nice touch, Gary. I too have detected abrupt changes in tone in the voice at the other end of the phone, when I have mentioned just the local rag. I'm delighted to hear that you are using all the weaponry available to you - and that it's working.

kelljo Still waiting, about ready to go insane. Starting to get worried somethings wrong. If it's meant to be I assume it will happen. If not will just keep waiting. I just hope he can make it till that time comes. I think I'm going to have to do something about all my new gray hairs I'm getting though, but that stuff just comes in a bottle ha ha Please keep Praying. Will let you know what happens.

Good day today as far as the work in my home is concerned, had two lads do the second fit for the electrics in the kitchen, and then painter arrived stuck some paper on my bathroom ceiling and was gone. Tomorrow he will paint the paper and the wood work and hang paper in kitchen.

I also believe the flooring guy will be in to seal the bathroom floor prior to the new floor covering going in the bathroom.

Light is getting brighter at the end of the tunnel :)

Good news, Gary. Hope it just gets brighter.

A little concerned that kelljo hasn't been back. That could be a good sign, we can hope.

C30 I am really pleased to be able to report that at long last I have been given the opportunity to contribute towards the expenses of those poor hard up MP's in Parliment. I received a nice letter from Inland Revenue today, stating that as I am granted the fortune in cash known as State Pension, they will have £131 of it, thank you. I can only presume, not having had to pay tax on my pension the last wto years, that they are hard up due to MP's expenses, and/or unable to raise enough from traditional "criminals", motorists and/or smokers.

Have a pre-op(eration) assessment in an hour so feeling a bit anxious. On the plus side I've just won a badge unexpectedly.

Ray they are going to need to raise it somehow, now they been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

As for my day am workman free already i get a new floor tomorrow in the bathroom and the kitchen painted then hopefuly the kitchen will be tiled friday and that is it finshed.

C30 Gary glad your workman saga nears completion, still recall the upheavel when we had new Central Heating installed a few months back.

Yes it seems they (MP's) are all "at it" irrespective of political party and I fear all we will get through elections is a fresh lot to dive in the trough. NOW I know what profession to be if I had my life over again! lol

The party leaders are now blowing a lot of hot air about restoring trust. Stuff trust - get hold of every one of these leeches who've put in a psss-taking claim, and get them to restore the money. This is the only job in the world that lets employers pay for a second home with a swimming pool, and a £2,000 telly.
