A terrible, scary day in the emergency room with my husband. He had such a terrible pain in his stomach that it bent him over. The doctor suspected an anurism so after the quart of saline solution, a morphine shot, heart reading, and I don't know what all, he gave him a MRI.They told me it would take another hour to read the results. Meanwhile, a nurse came in and had my husband sign an admittance paper. Well, I got scared and thought that they must have found something bad. We were left there in the cubicle worrying about the worse things. About ten minutes before the results were ready the same nurse came in and cut the admittance bracelet off him and said she had made a mistake. Then the doctor came back in and ask us if we knew what a conundrum is. They could'nt find anything. What makes me so mad is that I told them right off that my husband had eaten some salsa last night and the same thing had happened to him two years before. They turned a deaf ear to what I was telling them. They ended up giving him some kind of cocktail for his gastritis and we finally got home near 4:00pm.

When do you get you results, DJ?
Judy, gastritis is horrible but at least it goes away. Thank goodness that's all it was.

My day started in the most wonderful way. At 7 a.m in Perth, Australia time, I had the utmost pleasure in talking on the phone on a conference call to some of my team mates from Phoenix Rising. We chatted for over an hour....all organised of course. Participants included moi(Australia), JCSon (California), Triviaballer (Florida), teacher47 (Florida), mustbejan (Missouri), JAM6430 (Alabama), Ingress (North Dakota), MIDLIFECRISIS (Yorkshire UK), Trooper 2196 (Hampshire UK) and Katieinsane (Yorkshire UK).
We had a great chat and I am honoured, proud, humble even that our team members care for each other and we do pretty good overall in points and badges but most of all, we look out for each other and we are the best cyber-mates now.
We hope to continue this event maybe once a month and get more participants...some were a little shy.
Thank you Terry and Fun Trivia for (inadvertently) giving us the opportunity of meeting one another.

Today was lovely. The weather was beautiful and we spent the day with friends at the Saddleworth Show. Lots of different events and side shows and then we went for a lovely meal, but I can't move now and feel that I'll never eat again. The down side was that I missed doing 1 set of Global Challenges, but the sunshine won over.

Been without power since 9am came back on at 4.30 due to upgrade of the sub station.
Am struggling to get back into the swing of things on FT, still back on form tmw.
And at least these bods had the common sense to advise us to unplug our pc's to prevent damage from a potential surge.

A very boring day. I spent it all in our local Crown Court waiting to be sworn in as a juror, which didn't happen until 4.00pm.

Have had an absolutely lovely day - the weather has been very warm and sunny and we even missed a thunderstorm 4 miles away - so lay out in my new birthday prezzie: a gorgeous swinging sofa under a gazebo - life doesn't get much better than this.
Had a quick visit to the local rose nursery and marvelled at their absolutely gorgeous rosegarden - almost surreal and the roses are magnificent this time of year.
Now home for a lovely roast chicken dinner with my nearest and dearest... all in all a perfect sort of a day.

Gary, it makes a nice change for you to benefit from someone else's common sense.
Bob, is this your first day? May each day be more interesting than the one before.

I hope you get interesting cases, and no more time spent hanging around waiting; and that your fellow jury members are taking it seriously - it's frustrating to be with someone who doesn't make any contribution but votes with what they predict to be the majority, in the hope of getting it over with quickly with a minimum of thought and effort. Most aren't like that, though, and the procedures are fascinating. I hope you enjoy doing it.

Another day sat around doing nothing whilst legal arguments took place in the courtroom until 2.45. Then the prosecution withdrew its case. Very frustrating.

Not needed tomorrow. I have to ring an answer phone every day to see if I'm needed the next.

Another great day although the weather was particularly vile.... visited Percy Thrower garden centre in Shrewsbury - what a train wreck... overpriced, overstocked with tacky stuff and leaky!
Followed by lunch in my favourite place by the side of the River Severn... luverly.
