Today have been on the wii fit, 9 holes of golf, 5 bowling games, tennis....followed by step, hula hoop and some muscle work outs. House cleaned from top to bottom and then we went shopping. I bought a couple of pedometers, just to see how many steps we do in a day. Lots of work this next week for me, so a couple of early nights are called for.

I've got my car back - yippee! Son borrowed it to take to Devon for a fortnight, with passengers and much luggage. He's got things working that haven't worked for months, like the interior lights, and it's actually in better nick than it was when he took it.

Top result there Leslie! Have you managed without a car for 2 weeks?
Have had a very lazy day here, back end of a cold which resurfaced the other day.
Plus have neighbour 'issues'. I have an extension on my house, which has been built for 9 years and only yesterday they told my gardener he could no longer use their drive to access my back garden. I was a tad miffed as they didn't tell me first. I had a paddy last night and mowed the grass in the back at 8.45pm, thus interrupting their BBQ. I don't handle the heat well and refuse to do it during the day, so they'll have to put up with it!

Er - with difficulty? :) I did a huge shop just before he drove off into the sunset. A friend/neighbour took me out to lunch on her precious day off, which was nice, and took me to get some potatoes and bananas, as the ones I got hadn't stored as well as I'd have hoped. Heatwave may have had something to do with it! Potatoes started sprouting and bananas fermented. And I did one other trip out by taxi. Don't like doing that unless I really have to.
I have neighbour issues as well. *sob* The people renting the house next door, and their visitors, all seem to be incapable of communicating using normal human noises. They growl, and roar, and shriek. The children don't laugh and giggle when they play, like real children - they shout and scream. Mostly scream. Nastiest of all, they don't smoke inside the house. They smoke in the back garden. So, when I open a window onto the back, I get their rancid smoke swirling in. Plotting revenge as we speak, A smoke bomb at the back of their house, under all their open windows, that should do it.
The owners weren't very sympathetic, probably because they're getting rent and they don't care. "Why don't I open the windows at the front of the house instead?" They also said that I would never be happy with my neighbours. "If the Queen moved in, you'd complain about the corgis." Oh yes - har har.
Isn't 8.45 pm a little early for physical exertion on a summer evening? I mean, you want to wait till it's really cool, don't you?

Lesley I find a hose pipe from bathroom window aimed at smokers works well.
Saturday and yesterday spent recovering from my visit to hell for 6 days otherwise known as the London Underground, the heat there was horrendous, the people were downright rude and ignorant down there.

Wondered about that, Gary, but the bathroom is down the side of the house, away from the side they are. Now I do have a garden tap, close to the corner of the house - and that must be worth thinking about!
The Tube is horrendous, and most of the people on it are pretty vile too. Glad I no longer have to use it every day. But it's better since Boris banned boozing on it. You can't stop people getting on drunk, but at least they shouldn't be getting drunker.
If it seems bad now - remember what it was like later on in the evenings with people marching up and down, swigging, swaying, shouting, chanting, and throwing up. *sigh* Happy days!

Ha ha Leslie, you do make me smile. My mower is very loud and my strimmer is louder, so they were a tad miffed. The neighbours seem to forget that I am the one who takes their parcels in etc and let them into my garden to access the back of their garage and stain the wood down the side.
Next weekend I'll be jet washing the drive and the concrete in my back garden....I was going to do it today but it's raining.
Poor you with 'smokey' neighbours. Make sure that your windows are shut when you smoke bomb them lol

Loud is good, and miffed is a most desirable result.
Have they bothered to tell you why their access arrangements have changed? and have you got round to telling them that yours have too, now?
Good thinking about keeping the windows closed. Send a little of your rain here, please. Enough to keep them indoors. If you can't, I shall just do a little rain dance. That always seems to do the trick. :)
Oooh that was quick - it has just this minute started raining. The wind is cool and the leaves are rattling. Thank you!

In That case wait till son returns and get him to hose down the smokers. Well not sure about drinking banned on tube i noticed a few pople with tinnies in their hands on the platforms and on the train.
Was terrible expierience on the whole Lesley three days on trot heard over tannoy that such and such line was clsoed due to someone on the line. And then such and such line closed due to flooding that thankfully was on the friday, and i was at kings cross waiting to come back to civilization.
