Topic: How did your day go my dear?

Subject: How did your day go my dear?

Gentle but enlightening thread letting everyone know how your day was and how you are..

(As this seems to be a topic which many have enjoyed it would be a shame to lose it due to a technical glitch!)

Enjoy...

lesley153 Just had a mouthwatering meal cooked for me! Jonathan and his girlfriend came to the house, took the car and did a massive foody shop which will last me a fortnight.

Then she made a mushroom pie, topped with mashed potato rather than pastry **drool** and followed by a gluten-free cake they made together yesterday. It's an aubergine cake flavoured with almond and chocolate, and topped with chocolate butter cream. **more drool** They can definitely come again. :)

Lochalsh I wrote a dumb question and put a new thread in the wrong category. There are no aubergine cakes in Mudville today. :(

Pat on the back for Jonathan you only get one mum so take care of her like you are.

I travelled by train and I saw Orient Express in a railway station coming from Venice via Vienna to Prague. It was all black with gold, I saw the compartments with the precious 19th century lamps, staff in costumes, only Hercule Poirot was missing, or at least I didn“t see him.

So impressed I have to share.

By the way, a trip from Venice to London is 2700 Euro. Enjoy, if you can:)

poneke 2 and a 1/2 days to go. Then my stint as 'nanny' to my cousin's two preschoolers is done and I can go back to being 'aunty' in the weekends:-)

My favourite bits from the last 10 weeks have included the pool and the library. Kids are fun and I've been lucky to have this extra time with my wee girls xox

Getting a "real" job on Monday!

Didn't go as planned, but turned out alright I suppose! Always something unexpected, doesn't do much good sometimes to make plans because things happen.

Very slow and boring, just like the previous three weeks. I've got my left arm in a sling due to a dislocated shoulder, and I'm left handed. It takes a long time to type anything one handed.

It's started rather spiffingly, my oldest daughter just got 3 A Grades at A level. Yes, I am boasting!

sherry75 Well done baby Sal - guess that's Uni then!

Had a great lazy day, shopping, lunch in nice restaurant and back to sit outside in the sunshine - back to reality today though.

lesley153 Sally, that definitely deserves a boast! Well done daughter!
