Topic: How did your day go my dear?

Subject: How did your day go my dear?

Gentle but enlightening thread letting everyone know how your day was and how you are..

(As this seems to be a topic which many have enjoyed it would be a shame to lose it due to a technical glitch!)

Enjoy...

Yes, probably celebrating en famille at the weekend. She'll be off to Leicester in a few weeks - she needed an A and 2 Bs.

s-m-w Going particularly well as no work today... might even get out of bed before midday.

lesley153 The scrolling wheel on my mouse stopped working, although the tiny buttons above and below it work as page up and page down, so that helps. If you click an option on an FT quiz, and use the cursor keys to scroll down, you'll change the option you clicked too.

Still, it's a silly little thing. It's not like I have something important, like a dead boiler or a dead car... oh no wait...

s-m-w Off to Wairose shopping, knew the day was going to get worse...lol

lesley153 Crap bloody awful day. Ring round for progress reports or explanations and find how easy it is for people to lie to get or save business, or keep their jobs, or just to have an easy life. BT lied, Warm Front man lied, and Zurich have been surprisingly unhelpful.

Papworth have been wonderful - as usual.

I was shopping for the underprivileged children's program and a guy in line ahead of me told me I got his favorite book, "The Poky Little Puppy". It made me smile because it was my favorite as a kid and every year, some one gets a copy from me.

s-m-w Another great day off.

Did some more Xmas shopping for those “special pressies, the ones that you enjoy giving and make the one you love feel very special.

Lucky someone. My mobile is on the fritz and hubby's eyes lit up - 'ooh, have I found your present, a new mobile?'. No, if I need one I will buy the cheapest I can find, think again!

No work today, considered taking a train into town. Hubby left at 8.25 to catch the 8.35, came back at 9.45 and then left again at 11.15, still managed to catch the 8.35. It was a little late. Abandoned thoughts of travel and laid around in a warm house not doing very much - bliss.

I've just started an eight week holiday stint. I only get paid for a couple of those weeks so I'll be here ad nauseum in the coming weeks.:)

My day was quite cold because we had a new furnace installed on a very cold day. Workmen were here for 11 hours so the weekend will be a nice break. Monday they return to put in new air conditioning and I hope it takes a lot less time.

Snowing all the time, the dark at 4:00pm and I got the idea of founding a new political party: The Bear Party. The programme is easy. Stop work and go to bed in the winter. Of course, you can wake up time to time and watch a film or if you gather a lot of energy, let´s go for a party.

s-m-w Day off nr. 1 Grim weather to say the very least, finished the last of the Xmas shopping, cards all done and ready to send.
Needed today to chill and get used to having time and thoughts outside of business.

Tomorrows theme is deck the halls!

lesley153 A friend took me shopping, and I got enough food to keep me alive till next year. And I got my car back this evening. Nice, warm car - I missed you.

s-m-w House and Christmas tree all festively dressed, last of the gifts wrapped, festive music in the background and the smell of mulled wine hanging in the air.

Doesn’t matter that it’s cold outside, there is a warm feeling inside.

Tomorrow is spa and pamper day, shaping up to be a nice week off.

s-m-w Cat loves the tree ...grrr
