Couldn’t be bothered to drive into the town as the car parks are still like skating rinks, so it was a very short walk to the bus stop! Must say that the good old British spirit manages to raise its head in the face of disaster, and missing a few days shopping due to the weather falls into that category at this time of year. What a great atmosphere, people smiling and being over polite, even on public transport! The shops were full and the tills rang out the merry sound of consumer heaven.
Meant to pop into the Armagnac (Montpellier) to see if the happy couple were in, but had an even more important appointment for lunch with my own beautiful lady.
Isn’t it wonderful how this time of the year brings the best out in people?
The fridge is now well stocked and we are ready for tomorrow, Christmas Eve, a day of pure indulgence.
Hope one and all enjoy their day also.

((Satguru, have just completed my all round quizzer and guess what? I also left out video games ! Ugh!))
When I did the all round quizzer I got my 15 year old son and his friend to help me on the video game category, took quite a while with a lot of laughing from the three of us. Luckily they have healthy self esteems when they realized how hard the quizzes can be.

I have always loved your question. Because it seems so sincere. Actually, my day was bad. BAD. Good in some ways and in many ways bad. Does anyone ever have a totally GREAT day? I suppose if you won the lottery, your day would be wonderful. But mostly, isn't is about the little things like work, and home, and whether or not you had a wreck while driving in the icy snow?

Am not sure how my day was. Life is full of twists and turns but sometimes other people’s problems overshadow your own. A very thought provoking start to a new year. Hmmm !

Great day today, spent it in the garden. First time I could do that for weeks - it's been sooo hot here in South Africa.

I'm a very naughty boy, Ex 1 from up north was in London today, and as I'm way out in the suburbs and she was in the centre, as I am pretty fed up with her demands over the last 20 years or so since she's been visiting now ask her to come here to see me instead of vice versa. She was too tired to get another train so stayed around her favourite shops while I went out towards the end of London with the camera. I was going to take her had she arrived, but as she was staying the night instead of getting a train back the same day I was concerned she'd hang around till the late evening and carry on issuing orders. They aren't exes for nothing believe me...

Hot and humid but at least the pool pump has been fixed and the pool turned from green to blue - spent the day dipping and brushing the dogs - so not bad really

Scary! Yesterday I waslying on the couch talking to my daughter and the next thing I knew, there were two paramedics, 1 firefighter, my husband, my daughter and my grandson standing around looking at me. The paramedic was feeding me some sweet paste out of a tube and there was an IV in my hand and he was asking my name and if I knew where I was to make sure I was OK. Evidentally my blood sugar went down to 21 while I was talking to my daughter and I became unresponsive for about 30 minutes. My husband was outside irrigating at the time but my daughter called 911 and got here before the ambulance and fire. I feel fine today, but that was a very scary incident and the first time I have had that reaction to my insulin.

Yesterday was exhausting. Meeting at 10 am, a total waste of time, then back to the office to collect stuff for the next meeting and deal with whatever had come in while I was out.. 3 pm meeting was enjoyable, but long, and it wasn't worth driving a 70 km round trip to go home before Lions meeting last night. Finally home at 9.30 pm, and too tired even to go near the computer !
I'm getting too old for this !

Nice day, temperatures are warming along with some rain that will make things grow as Spring is approaching, looking forward to seeing flowers and trees bloom.
