Topic: How did your day go my dear?

Subject: How did your day go my dear?
Date: Aug 21 08

Gentle but enlightening thread letting everyone know how your day was and how you are..

(As this seems to be a topic which many have enjoyed it would be a shame to lose it due to a technical glitch!)

Enjoy...

Husband is almost over food poisoning. I fed him chicken soup and he feels much better.

I'm tired.

veronikkamarrz Good grief, HB! I hope you aren't feeling it too much more today...But probably so. I'm so sorry. However, you did remind me to get a load in...Thanks, and feel better.:)

Honeybee - how are you today? I hope your ouches are better.

veronikkamarrz How old was this kid, Lesley? Pain in the whatever yes, but probably not as much as if he'd been hollering or crying. I just don't understand why parents don't get a sitter. Oh, I remember...Letting others deal is cheaper!;)

Sorry...:)

lesley153 Chicken soup has that effect. I hope he continues to feel better.

The boy was about seven. Another seven-year-old might have sat through the concert and enjoyed every note, but you can't make a anyone like something if he has an overwhelming need to exercise his thumbs instead.

Of course letting others deal is cheaper! I've seen a woman who brought three small children, all already in their pyjamas, to be poured into bed as soon as they got home: and heard about another woman who brought one small child to the local music club, decided in the middle of a piece that his behaviour was not good enough, and chastised him (OK, thumped the living daylights out of him) through six slammed doors.

Shall we blame the parents? It does seem to be the easiest thing to do, and I bet it's usually right.

The woman was the one whose behavior was not good enough.

Why was she allowed to proceed to the point where the living daylights were thumped out of him?

Today was great! I went to the bookstore and read a great book!

veronikkamarrz *Sigh* Yep, I'm blaming the parents, no matter what! Whacking a kid is usually not the way to go...No matter how much you'd like to.

Daymare and Veronnikkmarz, I am fine. Just big black bruises on my left thumb knuckle and my right wrist, and a big sore spot on the back of my head. No problem, they are a long ways from my heart.

veronikkamarrz :) So glad to hear you're OK. It could have been bad. Easy does it!

TheCharmedOnes So far, all I've done is have a shower and win the Buzzy Bee scavenger hunt. So a pretty good day!

Cheers, Honeybee: Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Just when the pain of finally CHF let up and I'm starting to put things back in order, family and friends decide I'm well enough again to drop everything to deal with their problems. While I'm out doing some errands that have been put off for too long, I'm going to pick up some small Hickory Farms gift packs so my loved ones may all enjoy a little CHEESE with their w(h)ine. :-))

Oops! Didn't proofread THAT stream of consciousness! 'finally' was meant to go AFTER the CHF. No....this time it wasn't a stroke.....just one of my many brain cramps!

lesley153 My goodness there's a lot of CHF about. I'm starting to wonder if admission to FT shouldn't require either CHF or rampant insomnia. Glad everyone's on the mend - long may it be so.

veronikkamarrz OK, what the heck is CHF?

davidcgraham Does CHF mean congestive heart failure?

I can say, though, that FT has caused me insomnia, but in a good way :-) I'll find myself playing late into the night either because I've lost track of time or because I just want to play that "Who's the expert" category that's coming up at 2:45 a.m. or because I can't sleep.

lesley153 Sorry VM! Davidgraham's right, it's congestive heart failure.
