Saw the District Nurse who removed clips/staples from recent hip replacement.
Will soon be running again now ;o)

Running? Most people I know who've had hip replacements seem to be practically dancing the can can after a couple of days! Best wishes for your recovery.
I am more than a little peeved. I bit the bullet and forked out a huge sum to have two sets of made-to-measure curtains and a valance made. Part of the service was that someone came round to measure them properly. Promised time was 2-4 weeks. Six+ weeks later, I picked them up. I spent ages fiddling around and hanging them (possibly my least favourite job). The valance and the smaller set were fine, but the big set for my bay window have come out an inch too short.
A snotty email has been sent and I await a reply.

On no Sal, re the curtains! Hopefully there is enough hem in them to sort it out, if not, it's their fault and they should sort it out. My curtain lady measures, makes and fits them. I am so not good at hanging curtains. Let us know how you get on!
Have had a busy week and am feeling under the weather, with one thing and another. Worked yesterday morning, then hairdressers etc and out to a do at 6.15pm. No time to clean the house etc, I really can't be doing with dust and things not put away, so I have been a busy bee this morning. Living room done, kitchen started, but it's coffee break :)
I've taken tomorrow off work to get the garage in order, a couple of trips to the tip are needed. I'll wrap some Christmas presents and potter about.

My days have been so dire since breaking a tooth recently I've tactfully kept my woes on almost every other thread here except this one, as it extended to two and then three once they had been inspected and another went almost the moment I left the surgery and got back home. Just one more treatment ahead now besides the fitting, so almost back to normal life and spent some time today teaching my mother the internet, after her first encounter with a computer when it arrived earlier this month. I got a very nice dinner for it (and a few other quite demanding jobs requiring a ladder) and seems she is now catching on and surfing with little outside kibitzing. She's posted once on my blog but hope we will see more in the next few months when she gets the time to come on.

Lunch time I went to the leaving do of an ex colleague. She is an ex colleague because I left the job myself in July this year. Then I did some Christmas shopping. The evening has been spent doing some trivia games and watching TV.

A new and current world atlas came today, yahoo. The other one was 1988. Not freezing during the day. Any day over 34F is a good day, in December. Found Christmas decorations. My job for tomorrow.

A Good Day so far: Woke up, got out of bed, tried to drag a comb across my bald head. Had a cup of Coffee, finished the tree decorating, wrapped present and now settled in for a fun day of quizzes on FT.
