Nope, I had to have that conversation too many times with my children.
Stick to poker and polo RJ, less complicated!

It's good living in an old house. They were built to be warm so there's no need for expensive central heating. Most of the renovation work on mine was paid for by government and lottery funding. As for dancing naked in my back yard - well, I'll pass on that one, now there was the time on the beach in St.Tropez, but that's another story and I was a lot younger then ;)

I like to see history preserved but I wouldn't want to go through the hassle and I like modern conveniences and efficiencies too much to put up with old buildings with their basic maintenance needs! I hate to paint! I'm resigned to do the interior every once in a while but the exterior I only want to wash every now and then! I'm lazy!

I wish you guys would quit bringing up these exotic events if you have no intention of elaborating ;-)

Are you meaning bedroom antics or the fetching Red Nose that I will be sporting until the event itself on March 13th?
The avatar is courtesy of flopsymopsy, you may get to admire hers at some point this fortnight.

It is an insane day!
An enormous number of people get involved at all sorts of levels, and all donations are welcomed from 10p to a million. Serious celebrities line up to make fools of themselves intentionally in all sorts of ways.
I've spotted vehicles wearing the customary red nose on their radiators already.
The cash resulting is spread widely and benefits thousands of good causes.
It's good for the soul. :)
I mean, could you turn down a llama as scary as flopsy, demanding money?

If she was demanding money, I think I could manage turning her down. Now if she wanted a contribution for a worthy cause, I would gladly oblige.
flopsy is that you behind that red nose? Tipping a few are we?

Read my profile, RJ, then donate! Any worthy cause will do :)
When Red Nose Day first started, more than a decade ago, I sent a nose to a Canadian email pal who was fascinated by the concept. The next year I went to stay with her and asked before I set off how how I'd be able to spot her at the airport. "Don't worry," she said, "you'll see me." It was just as well there weren't two mad Canadians wearing red noses in Vancouver airport that day!

We produced a calendar at work for red nose day one year. It was in the style of the famous Women's Institute calendar. Another year some of the braver one's did a parachute jump.

I'm a Taurean, we like our feet on the ground being an Earth sign.
My colleagues and I are having a Bad Hair Day.
Mine will be scarlet with additional golden glitter and feathers. And yes, I'll be teaching all day like that, and probably going out for lunch.

We've done that, we all got silly wigs and wore them all day.
Normally we just run a cake stall.

Hey, flopsy, more than a decade ago is right - try two decades plus one :-O I remember the first red nose day, I was at school! I remember going on the bus to town to buy my red nose for the event... Now I feel really old :(
I wonder if my kids will want to wear a red nose this year?

You feel old!
You baggage, how do you think I feel after that comment, the first Red Nose Day was in 1988. I was at school too, in my third year of teaching. RJ was a toddler...let's move swiftly on to another topic!
So, why haven't you dipped in to flopsy's goody bag and picked yourself an avatar? She's asking for donations to RND.
There's a thread on the team board. :)

Mmm, I was thinking about it - I'll be donating to RND anyway, and I think I'll pop down to TKmaxx tomorrow and see if they've got any T-shirts left and also Oxfam and try to get a nose (or three ;) ). School haven't said yet what the kids'll be doing... Usually they do no uniform and pay a pound.

It's beer thirty, so my nose will become redder as the night wears on. Quit fretting about your age and be thankful you aren't the girl you once was ;-)
I can tell you one thing, I don't even like most women my age they are too self absorbed and don't know a lick about anything important.
Have a good evening ladies!

Hey RJ, there are some things for which I'm grateful to my 'greater' age and other things not so much... ;)
Should we send you a red nose RJ?
