Yeah! 5,000 posts. Well done cowboy.
I'm off to Midnight Mass later, and as I'm the only driver, I can't drink 'til afterwards. So a virtual bevvy is a great idea. Mulled wine? With added rum?

By all means Jabberwok. This cake fairly reeks of rum and it's heavy.
Well I guess the 5000 post mark has been passed, so cheers my hale and hearty fellows.....down the hatch. Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh excellent!

I'm running out of ways to politely tell my dad that I don't want a mimosa. Have a great day Ls&Ps.

How surreal is your Christmas 2k?
Do you mean the plant, or is a mimosa some strange Lancastrian delicacy I missed when living up there?

It's a cocktail, Jabber, a variation on a theme of Buck's Fizz but given a new name so bars can charge more. :)
Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi Jabberwok and Merry Christmas. I'm thinking about becoming a vegetarian myself. (considers carefully the pros and cons of said course of action)..........................................
Nope, that ain't happening ;-D

Just arrived home with the Chinese food. Veggies in orange sauce -- yum!

:( No one but me likes Chinese or Indian food in this family,
and I've tried very hard.

The ducks have just devoured a duck, with brussel sprouts, roast parsnips, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets and garlic and herb stuffing.
I washed mine down with Bucks Fizz and the other duck washed his down with Cabernet Sauvignon.
Then we watched Dr.Who followed by a dvd - Leon.
I hope all the llamas and pirates had as wonderful a day as we did :-)

Merry Christmas to all Llamas and Pirates, we had roast pork (cooked the night before), prawns, ham, cold chicken, curried eggs and a massive cold salad platter.
Desert was trifle, ice cream, custard on fruitcake or chocolate cake drowned in cream.
I was so full I could hardly move!
Today I'll patiently wait for start of the traditional Boxing Day Test Match (cricket), this time between Australia and Pakistan and put away a few tinnies (beers).

Now there's a man after my own heart....stomach?
I'm fighting with my dogs over the remaining turkey, and cornbread stuffing with giblet gravy. Hot pumpkin pie with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. I'm fixing to crack a few tinnies myself if I can manage to waddle over and watch a movie.
Merry Christmas all
