Subject: Questions from GOW's Blog
Date: Dec 03 08

I have been consistently posting riddles and questions on my blog, but in order to expand the challenge for more people, I will post the questions here.

Keep an eye out for new questions on this post.

Please feel free to leave feedback for the site administrators. We will take all feedback into account as we tweak and add new features.
The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

421. 101. 555-01xx, where xx is any two-digit number, plus (212) 664-7665, which is used by Universal Studios to avoid using the 555 prefix.

419 is no words, 420 is the Lion King, 421 is 101, 423 is tennis, and 424 is Water Works.

You could figure out 424 by knowing that Atlantic City is the home of Monopoly names, and the water supply company that is with Atlantic City is indeed "Water Works".

I'm posting this 6 extremely early, because I will be gone all of this week.

I'm going to try a new rule on here. Even though I post on Sunday, I would like people to start answering starting on Monday. I feel that sometimes, people are knocking them all out on Sunday. Let it be first come first serve starting the next day. We'll see if this works.

Like I said, I won't even SEE the answers yall put until this Saturday. So I'll see you then.

425. One of the title things in what famous novel is made from the wood of an apple tree?

426. Take the name a very popular series of video games. Remove the first, seventh, and last letter. If you rearrange these letters into one word, you now get the name of another very popular series of video games. What are the series?

427. A canoe, a pirate ship, a tugboat, and a Viking ship (all with wheels) make a very brief appearance on the opening sequence to what TV show?

428. The Galapagos variety of what animal is the only species of that animal that can live north of the equator?

429. Take the last name of a person in US history. Anagram his last name, and you now get a word that would describe what Washington and Montpelier would be to the person. Who is he?

430. Tina Lannin made big news earlier this year by being able to read what?

How about a rule where only one answer per person is allowed until, say, Wednesday? After that it's no-holds-barred. That'll give more people a shot at answering questions.

great2beme I like that rule

Actually, I had a FunTrivia clock (the one on The Buzz) open in a separate tab. It did say 12:00 AM there, but apparently the forums are a minute or so behind.

There are still five as yet unanswered questions:

225. Take a two word phrases meaning “amazing”. Change the first letter, and place the first word directly in the middle of the second word. You now get another word meaning “amazing”. What are the words?

344. Take the name of a worldwide leader. Move the last letter of his name 9 letters up the alphabet. Then switch his first and last name. You now get, phonetically, a phrase that is used worldwide. Who and what is it?

386. Take the name of a world country. Add an "E", and then rearrange the letters, and now you get the abbreviated name of an organization that would go to that country. What is the country and organization?

391. Look at this picture of a dartboard. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee191/imageniusonwheels/dartboard.png What is the reasoning behind all of the arrows and circles added to the picture?

394. What constantly increasing number is currently (as of May 15th, 2011) at a little more than 7583.3?

Hey guys, I'm back.

Well, the 6 questions have been answered, but that's not the bigger deal.

New idea: You can't start posting on Sunday. You can start posting on Monday. You answer one at a time. You can't post another answer until someone else answers one question, or 24 hours go by.

If you like these requirements, let me know on here.
