Mine would be Moulin Rouge! and Buffy for a tv show!

Spike Lee's Bamboozled.

Deep movie. Really made me think. How far have we really come as a nation in terms of race? We may have elected a black president but minstrel shows are still alive and well these days in the form of BET and most modern rap music. As a nation, we deride intelligence but laugh at buffoonery.

A movie that's well worth seeing even though it is more than a bit disturbing.

Lochalsh I've recently seen (for the third or fourth time) "The Best Years of Our Lives," a movie set at the end of World War II. It's interesting to me to see what the world was like right before I was born. Oh, the optimism of those days!

I don't know how many film buffs there are out there, but my Son sent me a DVD which I found excelent and if you get a chance watch it.

It is called Joyeux Noel and is about the unofficial Christmas Truce in WW1, it involves the Germans, French & Scottish troops, some of the film is sub-titled, but it is excelent.

Although a War film the Ladies will like it as well.

If anyone does not enjoy it after this recomendation then you can come around and slap my head

I've just seen 'Orphan'. I expected it to be a run of the mill horror, but it was very good. Surprisingly, I actually cared about the characters. Usually in horror films they are so obnoxious I can't wait for them to get bumped off. It was very well acted, especially by the child actors. I had to check out the girl who played Esther to make sure she really was a child and not .... well, I won't give it away but it's well worth a look.

I just finished watching Radio, starring Cuba Gooding Jr. It was a wonderful movie, sort of like The Blind Side.
