Mine would be Moulin Rouge! and Buffy for a tv show!

Four Lions, a very black comedy about five would-be suicide bombers. Very, very funny and more than a little sad.

"The Ides of March" with George Clooney and Ryan Gosling. I was so excited to find out it was filmed in Cincinnati, OH, where I attended college. I liked the entire movie except the very very end, right before the credits.

For those who have never heard of it, it is a modern political movie based around a presidential election campaign. It is not about Julius Caesar, though I did come to the conclusion that Ryan Gosling's character was the equivalent of Brutus.

A made-for-TV movie called "A Killer Upstairs", which was surprisingly good.

Netflix comes to my postal box at least twice a week with a flick to watch. The last one I watched was called, "Answer It". This is a cute, youthful movie about a new college girl and a seasoned college boy. The boy is into trivia and somehow school lacks importance to him. The boy gets involved in a citywide, bar club trivia tournament. Well anyway winning is important to him and he finds victory in more than one way. He wins his girl, his game, and his future planning ability. A feel good commedy is what this movie is.

callie_ross I just watched a movie called "Bad Ass" on Netflix. Danny Trejo is in it. It actually wasn't too bad.

I watched it too callie. It would be a good movie to watch on a theme night with friends. The next movie could be 'Hobo with a Shotgun'.

"Torchwood" - series on netflix streaming - loved it!
Also "Reggie Perrins" with Martin Clune, who was also in "Doc Martin" - both great britcoms. "The Woman" - ultra dark story about 'civilizing' - may be offensive to some, but its point is very well made, i.e., opposed to forced 'civilization' - as in how the europeans 'civilized' the native americans. Memorable film!
"Ran" and "Dreams" both by Akira Kurosawa.

Today I watched "The Long Walk Home". It starred Whoopie Golderg and Sissy Spacek and was about segregation. Good movie on TV.

The Dictator with Sacha Baron Cohen.

If you like juvenile humor and bad taste this is the movie for you. I laughed until I cried!

Greatguggly I think the last one I watched all the way through was Almost Famous.

Greatguggly Alas, I waited too long. I wanted to wait for my wife to get home from work so she could watch it with me but by that time it was removed from Youtube. I guess now I'll have to pay to see it. Waaaah. Movies should be considered a basic human right! I want free movies! Waaaaaah!

Greatguggly That was meant for the Favorite Movie thread.
