I'm with Daaanieeel. As a Beatles fan, I have no 'one' favorite. As I'm writing this I am thinking of "Strawberry Fields Forever" as I wait for a really good "Rain". It's hot in Florida.

Ditto Daaanieeel and Boxjaw, just too many to choose from. 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', 'In My Life', 'Cry baby Cry' would be way up there. I especially like the music from the 'Revolver'/'Rubber Soul' era; the post bubble gum, pre-psychedelic music. Also, can't go wrong with anything on 'Abbey Road'.

I'm always amazed at how they transformed their sound in such a short period of time. Absolutely astounding if you think about how long the band was together. The last five years were so innovative. Not only changing the sound of rock music, they did a lot of their best stuff on a 4-track recorder! A plus. How many bands can boast of having three musical geniuses playing at the same time together. Probably the main reason why they broke up when they did. I have to say, I'm almost glad that they dismantled when they did. As a band, go out on top. Rolling Stones, good music sometimes. When the Beatles broke up they essentially trumped the Stones. I think anyone who understands good music knows what I mean.

I love Ringo! I adore his drum solo on "The End". His beats were the best. ;^) He played a very integral part in the band. His personality was, and still is endearing.
Heck, they couldn't all be geniuses. :^)

I hear ya, guys! I knew you weren't saying anything mean about Ringo, I was just playing along! Ringo is a great guy & very talented. I just love his bubbly personality & his sense of humor he was always displaying. He seems very down to earth, like the type who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it! :)

I respect Ringo for not giving autographs anymore. He's 71 years old. He has other things to do with his life than signing his name. He also told the world on his website that he no longer wished to do this. I have no problem with that at all.

Fair call boxjaw, especially when there has probably been a lot of people who have taken advantage of his generosity, and the generosity of others, by offering these autographs for sale or auction for their own financial gain the very next day.

As my avatar suggests I am a bit of a Beatles'fan!
My favourites change depending on my mood at this momement in time I am grooving to "Sexy Sadie" from the album The Beatles (White Album). Beatleslore correctly notes that it is John's guised attack on The Maharishi after he felt disullusioned with him during the Fabs' stay in India.
Great tune, crafty lyrics and a memorable refrain.
