This board is for authors to discuss aspects of quiz authoring amongst themselves.

Feel free to use it to share ideas, encourage one another, challenge each other, and show off your creations to fellow authors.

For first-time authors, please don't hesitate to ask questions and try your hand at any of the quiz possibilities found herein! If you already have an idea for a quiz, what are you waiting for? Click the link below and create a template!

The old reply to thread function was removed because it got to the point where people weren't even reading the announcements and assuming, by default, that they were somehow being wronged or forgotten or insulted or abused or cheated out of something in some manner.

Authors, please keep in mind that not all editors frequent this board on a regular basis. We do our best to be in the know about Lounge activities, even if we don't participate in them, but are not always aware if certain quizzes are for challenges or not or if you're in multiple challenges with submission plans, etc.

When submitting quizzes, please use the Editor's Notebox to specify if you're submitting for an Author's Lounge challenge or a Commission. Please also note any specific requirements (eg. requiring a specific title). Editors will try their best to accommodate. We want to encourage your creative submissions, and being aware of what you're going for is a big help!

This also applies to the Adventures in Authoring game.

If submissions or corrections cause conflict with your activities on the site, please keep in mind that all authors are subject to the same standards and that these challenges and games are exactly what they are-- challenges and games. Very few have time limitations and all of them are designed to foster creativity and have fun with.

The queue is still the queue and editing is still a process we need to take seriously.
