So you're making Kyle a happy editor then (I had to look them up first, as I've never heard of them).

See, what did I tell ya? Only ONE quiz in world went online a little while ago, and now the queue for world is much lower; it was 24-26 days, somewhere in there, now, with ONE quiz online, world isn't even listed, so the queue is empty. Like I said, ONE quiz can skew the wait times significantly. ;-)

So, it has been my "dream" to get 3 quizzes online in one day, because I have only ever gotten 2 online in a day. And that rarely happens, too. But, I have discovered, I already accomplished this feat. Looking at my list of quizzes, I have three that went online on June 15, 2008. Who knew. lol.

Ok, so the quiz is online... AND IT WAS QUIZ 250!
Where's my party? ;-) lol.

lol, Paige. I've also been here a lot longer. And I can dedicate all time to writing, and not editing. ;-)
So I'd say 50 is pretty good. ;-)

Hi all. I hope this is the right place for me to ask a quiz question. I apologize in advance if it's not. I have just written a quiz on various zombie movies but with a tiny twist. It's one of those quizzes where the first letters of the first nine answers spell out the answer to question number 10. My question is how to categorize the quiz. It's not really a common bond (at least not like any that I have written before) nor is it technically a word play either. Other than then adding the first letters together to spell out the final answer, it's a quiz about zombie movies. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

I take it your quiz is a '9 for 10' type? In that case, it can just go straight into whichever sub-category best fits zombie films (which I think will be Horror Mixture).

Well now I'm embarrassed...lol, I never ever noticed that there was a "9 for 10" category. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

The 9 for 10 category is not in Movies, though. I would submit it to Movies Word Play - there is a sort of similar quiz already in that subcategory (an 'acrostic' quiz).

Uh oh, I already set it up in Thematic 9 for 10. I did actually look in the Movies Word Play and I didn't see anything similar there, maybe I missed it. I guess it's up to the editors now. Thanks a lot for replying guitargoddess. :)

If you have set it up but not yet submitted it, you can change the category for yourself. If you want to do that but you can't work out how to do it, get in touch with an editor (*see below) who can guide you through the process. It takes too many words to be worth wasting everyone's time here. Those of us who have had to do it repeatedly hardly even have to think about it any more!
*The editors in each category are shown near the top of the category listing page when you browse quizzes by category, and you can click on a name to be able to send a direct message to one of them and ask for advice about their category, or about quiz-writing in general. If you have questions that might be of interest to others, or if you aren't sure which category of editor is best to contact, it might be a good idea to post your question in the Quiz Authoring Q&A board in the Forums. You might even find it has been asked and answered there in the past.

Thank you looney, I'll contact an editor. I had actually thought about doing that first, but wasn't sure if it was okay to contact the editors through direct notes or if it was better to post in a public forum. I actually have a few quizzes online already, but this particular type of quiz is new for me, so I was unsure. Thanks again.

It's definitely OK to contact editors with questions. The only question we really don't want to hear is "How come you haven't edited my quiz yet?" - just about anything else is fine.

Pssst Agony... when will someone edit the quizzes I haven't written yet? And could they just write them for me first, and can I have Editor's Choices on them all, and a Lucky Duck please :-D Oh and a Hardcore Badge while you're there... if it's no trouble... :-D

Thanks agony, a direct invite like that makes me feel better about asking questions. I definitely prefer to ask these types of questions in advance so that hopefully the editing process goes even smoother for both the editor and myself. Most of my quizzes are either straight TV/Movies or Common Bond (which I love), and I wrote enough of them that they usually get accepted pretty quickly now, but since I'm "branching out" so to speak, I thought I'd better start asking questions.
