Star I replied to you before - or at least I tried to, got cut off by the back-up, grrr! I sympathise entirely with the 'having too much info' problem, silly of me to think it might be the other way round! Glad to hear you are making progress, though, and look forward to seeing it when it's online.
And Stu, my mind is boggling at the possibilities of pornography and baseball, but it does explain one question I've had for a long time. I thought my brother only went to all these UNESCO conferences because they're held in places like Hawaii (or some excuse about furthering science communication and education blah blah blah), but now I know why he REALLY goes - thanks for clearing that one up!

Y'know, when I was starting PhD work at Illinois (which I never finished--for shame), I went to the Rare Books room and requisitioned all the relevant holdings on vampires. One piece I asked for was in French, which I read quite imperfectly, and I could not immediately comprehend its contents from the bib entry.
Sure enough, I was soon confronted with a big ol' archive of French vampire porn. Eh, bien.

Vampire 'porn' (aka Supernatural Romance) is a big genre in sci-fi/fantasy at the moment. You could give a paper on the "Social Acceptance of the Vampire into Sexual Relationships with Humans; Traditional Views Revamped" :-D Vampires are sexy just now! And lycanthropes and shapeshifters of various 'flavours'...

But they're almost all male vampires Kyle... I can tell you don't read Hamilton, Kenyon, whatshername who writes the ghastly Twilight books et al. Some bookshops now even have a whole section devoted to them lol - they're like Mills and Boon with fangs :-D

"Etymology of the FunTrivia Categories" has been submitted now that the other two have been approved.
Have had the quiz equivalent of plot bunnies spawning in my head for several weeks, and have been keeping a list on my Blackberry that I add to when I get other bursts of inspiration.
Next quiz will either be "Presto!" or "Snow White and the Seven Deadly Sins." Any prefs, y'all?
