I'm probably about average. I never formally learnt how to type so I don't hit letters with the correct fingers. It's just whichever is nearest or most comfortable for me. I'm always looking for letters on the keyboard and I make a lot of mistakes too. When I type, my eyes are on the keys instead of the monitor.

im a very fast typer because i go on my laptop a lot so i get usd to the keys
and sometimes i do it so fast i do spelling mistakes oops!

At fastest, I can type 80 words per minute without looking at the keyboard. I used to take keyboarding class in elementary school, I was always really good at typing.

I took a typing class when I was in high school,but that has been years ago.So my typing has really slowed since then.

Many years ago I could type about 120wpm but could never come close to that now. I'm better with the keyboard than I am with the mouse though. I still miss my old IBM Selectric and wish I hadn't gotten rid of it.

Well, since my last posting (nearly 2 years ago), I have improved. I average around 90+ WPM, but I get over 100WPM quite often. It depends on what I am typing as well; if there are a lot of numbers and symbols I slow down considerably. But if it is just typing words, I can reach 120WPM. I am a touch typist and I also correct as I go. I can "feel" when I have messed up, so I could type with my eyes closed and know where to correct things. :-)

I'm about average. Lots of the time I do these replies on my iPod touch (like now) and I'm pretty quick on that. On a computer I'm around the middle. I CAN type really fast, but I make lots of mistakes when I try to go really fast. So I slow it down a bit. :)

I can type at a little over 100 wpm if I'm actively trying to, but I'm more likely to go much slower (50-60 or so) when I'm just having a conversation or posting on a board like this.
