Has anyone received any news about Lesley? I am on pins and needles awaiting news that she is OK.

Checked FB before I came here and Jonathon had left a note:

Hi all

Bad news and good news. I took my mum to hospital on Sunday, as she was increasingly breathless and unwell. They kept her in and suspect that it was just the heart failure, but were also wary of a slightly enlarged liver. She's waiting for the results of the cultures they took, as they wanted to eliminate hepatit...is among other liver problems, but they also have been giving her a huge dose of diuretics to bring the rest of the fluid off her lung.

The good news is, she's just been transferred to Papworth! She's on Mallard Ward, a surgical ward. As far as we know, she will be going in for the heart surgery tomorrow morning. I'll keep you updated.

Latest news from Jonathan
" My mum is out of the operating theatre and stable in intensive care. Everything went to plan, except that they repaired her tricuspid valve as well. She's still under anaesthetic and on a ventilator but they say all is fine. Not "out of the woods" yet but hugely relieved... Will update you all soon. "

Thanks Rowena, that's a great relief and good they found something else to do they may have missed otherwise. I;m sure when Lesley comes round she'll be very pleased it's all been done and just has to lie back and recover.
