I had to look up the Duggar family, and I found their own website. Nineteen children ("and counting"), and one grandchild. I even watched the cartoon, based, it says in the credits, on "Hell's best kept secret" by Ray Comfort. Mr Comfort is the evangelist who tells us that we are all going to jump out of aeroplanes.
Near the end, someone says that God so loved the world that he gave us his only forgotten son. Priceless. Irrelevant - but priceless.

I've been reading more about them. I hadn't meant to, but it's like a train crash - you can't help it. All the children's names begin with J, and you can;t help wondering when they'll run out. They've already got a Jinger and a Judson. They haven't got a Julia/Juliet or a Julian/Julius yet.
As far as I can make out, the older girls look after the younger children, but the boys don't. It'll be interesting to see what the children do when it's their turn to reproduce. I can speculate - we all can - but it's not really important enough to most of us to spend that much time on it.
Their Wiki page shows Jim-Bob - and his wife Michelle. I remember seeing a picture in a 70-year-old children's encyclopaedia, with the caption: "a Polynesian islander and his wife." Nothing changes.

And I've just done a double-take at how they've introduced the newest additions to the family - the new grandchild is shown under the heading "Welcoming our First GrandDuggar." Who writes this stuff?
